FAQs

All the answers to your hypnobirthing questions — and a few you didn’t even know you had!

1. What is hypnobirthing?

Hypnobirthing is like a magical mix of calm, confidence, and control — but make it practical. It’s a complete approach to birth prep, teaching you how to stay cool, calm, and collected when it matters most. You’ll learn breathing techniques, relaxation skills, positive affirmations, and how to make informed choices during birth. It’s all about ditching fear and embracing confidence.
2. Can hypnobirthing work for C-sections or inductions?

YES! Whether it’s a vaginal birth, a caesarean section, or an induction of labour, hypnobirthing works for ALL births. It’s not about how your baby arrives — it’s about how you feel when it happens. Hypnobirthing gives you the tools to stay calm and in control, no matter what happens. (You're welcome!)

3. Is it just breathing and whale music?

Nope, no whale sounds here (unless you’re into that). Sure, breathing is a big part of it, but it’s also about understanding how birth works, learning to trust your body, and creating a birth plan that puts YOU in the driver’s seat.
4. Do I need to be "good at meditating" for hypnobirthing to work?

Nope! If you can close your eyes and breathe, you’re good to go. There’s no “perfect way” to do hypnobirthing. It’s not about being a pro meditator - it’s about finding your calm in whatever way works for you.
5. What courses do you offer?

I offer 3 awesome options to fit your needs:
Group Hypnobirthing – Learn with other lovely parents-to-be in a relaxed group setting (hello, new parent friends!).
Private Hypnobirthing – One-on-one, just you (and your partner(s) with me. Total VIP treatment.
Get Birth Ready Sessions – Affordable, flexible, and just what you need to feel calm, confident, educated & empowered!
6. How long is each course?

My group and private courses run over four 2.5-hour sessions (that’s 10 hours of calm, empowering vibes!).
7. Can I do the course online?

Yes! I offer online and in-person options. So, whether you’re cosy on your sofa or want the face-to-face vibes, I’ve got you covered.
8. Am I too late to start if I’m already 36 weeks?

Nope, you’re never too late! While most parents start between 20-34 weeks, I’ve had people join as late as 38 weeks and still have game-changing results. So, if you’re reading this and thinking, “Is it too late for me?” The answer is NO, it’s not too late!
9. How do I book a course?

Easy peasy! Just head over to the Book Online page, choose the course that works for you, and book your spot before someone else does!
10. What will I learn during the course?

So. Much. Good. Stuff. Here’s a little taster:
  • Breathing techniques – Learn how to breathe your way through every stage of labour (yes, that stage too).
  • Relaxation methods – Stay calm, focused, and ready for anything.
  • Partner support – Your birth partner becomes your number-one fan and support hero.
  • Positive affirmations – Rewire your brain for confidence (trust me, it works).
  • Making choices – Get clued up on your options so you can make the best decisions for you.
11. Will I get homework?

If you count listening to chill relaxation tracks and practicing breathing as homework, then yes — but it’s the kind of homework you’ll actually WANT to do. It’s all about practising your new skills so you’re fully prepped for birth.
12. Do I need to bring anything to the sessions?

Not a thing! I provide everything you need. If you want to bring a cozy blanket, your fave cushion, or your go-to snacks, feel free, but it’s totally optional. My space is cozy enough already!
